Palestine, Hebron Area Beginner Embroidery Tatreez Kit, Level 2. This kit contains two embroidery samplers that can be sewn into wall hangers or bags. Both samplers feature original tatreez patterns that were derived and meticulously studied from old authentic dresses from the Hebron region of Palestine. The patterns were sourced from dresses from the villages of Dura, al-Dawayima, and al-Qubayba, Palestine circa 1900 - 1920s, from the Widad Kawar Collection.

• 1 piece of Syrian Saya fabric kashmir design made in Allepo - size: 18 cm x 50 cm

These authentic motifs showcase the very typical Palestinian embroidery patterns that adorned the Gaza area thobe. The patterns were on the side panel banayek of the woman’s village dress, characteristic of Isdud - Gaza region in Palestine in the 1920s.

The original dress was embellished with fine silk embroidery on the majdalawi, beltaji cotton/silk fabric.

The original dress is from the Sa’die Tell Collection.

Introducing the Gaza Necklace Bag (Qiladed Ghazze)قلادة غزة.

This tote bag from our Folkglory collection is inspired by a traditional “Qiladed Ghazzeh” قلادة غزة Gaza Necklace design and features a chest panel that is an exact replica of a Palestinian woman’s village dress from Beit Lahia - Gaza area circa 1925s. The original dress has silk thread embroidery on Majdalawi cotton/silk fabric and is part of the Sa’die Tell Collection in Jordan.

Kindly note that there are some slight color differences and variations.
